How long does it take for krunner to update the results to "settings"?
Since it did work for me, maybe it is searching for files or other Plugins that
are added in Plasma search?
Try disabling anything else than Applications, so it doesn't search for
unnessecary stuff.
Again, for me it changed from about 0,4 seconds to almost 0, like it could'nt
even replicate it when it doesn't search for Software in Software-Center.
