Classification: Plasma
Product: plasmashell
Version First 6.5.5

SUMMARY
Sometimes, when the system is under big I/O load the "root partition full"
notification shows up, despite there being almost 30 gigabytes free. In my case
it happens when discord crashes and the whole system becomes unresponsive
(launching apps, entering anything in search, usually in htop processes show as
status D - uninterruptible sleep)
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Have discord crash and coredump kick in
2. Wait for the freeze to go away
3. Observe low storage notification
OBSERVED RESULT
Notification shows when not needed
EXPECTED RESULT
It shouldn't
SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: openSUSE Tumbleweed 20260214
KDE Plasma Version: 6.5.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.22.0
Qt Version: 6.10.2
Kernel Version: 6.18.9-1-default (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland
Processors: 16 × AMD Ryzen 7 5700X 8-Core Processor
Memory: 32 GiB of RAM (31.3 GiB usable)
Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon RX 6650 XT
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Just noticed in journal the following:
systemd-coredump[3231]: Cannot store coredump of 3111 (Discord): No space left
on device
I guess a big I/O load is created during coredump and somehow the free storage
reading goes wrong?
