SUMMARY I am new to KMyMoney. I'm not even sure if my problem is a bug or
user error. Moste likely the latter. I love the program but for some reason I
am unable to split a transaction or add a subcategory to a category. The
options are not hilited as available (at the top) in my version 5.2.1 for
windows. I have read the handbook guidelines to perform the task but it
doesn't work. I realize this is vague but I am somewhat computer and
accounting illiterate. I have attempted to update the version but I can't
even seem to figure out how to update my 5.2.1 to a more recent version without
it adding a new KMyMoney program. Is there anyone that can tell me what I am
doing wrong?

OBSERVED RESULT It doesn't work.
EXPECTED RESULT I would like to be able to add subcategories under categories
and split transactions.
