Bug ID: 516427
Summary: Wrong scaling applied to primary monitor in games when
secondary monitor has different scaling
Classification: Plasma
Product: KScreen
Version First 6.6.0
Reported In:
Platform: CachyOS
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: common
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
When using two monitors with different scaling factors (primary at 100%,
secondary at 130%), fullscreen games on the primary monitor incorrectly
inherit the scaling of the secondary monitor, causing wrong resolution scaling.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Set primary monitor to 100% scaling
2. Set secondary monitor to 130% scaling
3. Start a game in borderless fullscreen on the primary monitor
Expected behavior:
Game renders at the native resolution of the primary monitor.
Actual behavior:
Game resolution is scaled by 130% (the scaling factor of the secondary
monitor),
resulting in a higher internal rendering resolution than the native resolution
of the primary monitor.
Reproduced on both Bazzite and CachyOS with KDE Plasma.
