There *is* no unfocused item in Kickoff's grid and list views. Something *always* has focus. That's what's inconsistent with other item views elsewhere. However it's consistent with KRunner, Kicker, and Application Dashboard. We basically have two different interaction patterns that e each consistent with other examples of the same pattern.
