SUMMARY
I wanted to install Krita on my Macbook Pro with M4 Pro. When I downloaded the
.dmg file from the official website, it consequently showed as corrupted. I
tried to install it with Gatekeeper disabled, and manually extract the .app
file via the cp command, but neither approach worked, showing I/O errors. The
.dmg seemingly mounted correctly.
I downloaded the file four times, twice via Safari and twice via Zen Browser
(fork of Firefox)
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Download the version 5.2.14 .dmg from krita.org
2. Try to install
OBSERVED RESULT
Finder error -36 | fcopyfile failed: Input/output error (when using the cp
command)
EXPECTED RESULT
The app should be copied into the Applications directory
