SUMMARY
I tried to create an IMAP and SMTP account in kmail for a new user (i.e. only
local folders exist in kmail). I can enter all data, there is no error
indication. Sending mails works fine, but in the folder view, the IMAP account
and folders are not shown.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Kmail Settings
2. Add Mailbox ("Empfang" for German locale)
3. Fill in data
OBSERVED RESULT
No indication of an error and but IMAP account and folders are not shown in
folder window.
The IMAP server (dovecot) side shows entries like this one:
