Hi!
I have some ideas for editing photo names and date assignments.
Since my father passed away a few weeks ago, I'm now going through his many
photos. So I'm currently scanning a huge number of photos, color films,
negatives, and slides.
As far as I know, I want to insert the original date into the EXIF data. Then
the file will be renamed. ---> [date:"yyyyMMdd_hhmmss"] - Scan
1) Because the scans are often not in the correct order, it would be helpful if
I could freely move and arrange the photos in the album.
2) After that, I want to select all the photos and insert the original date and
time, with a 10-second interval for each subsequent photo. That works well!
3) I find entering the timestamp inconvenient. I have to scroll up and down
through the years, months, and days in the calendar. It would be simpler to
enter the date manually, like 30.12.2025. What I'm trying to say is, entering
the month verbatim, like "December," is cumbersome. At least with the sheer
number of photos I'm currently editing ;-)
Perhaps these are good ideas for future versions.
I'm currently using XnViewMP for this work.
I wish you all a happy new year and stay healthy!
Andy
