            Bug ID: 513894
Summary: Kdenlive (Standalone) isn't able to open any video
file if its folder is in a directory with a
                    diacritical mark/accented character.
    Classification: Applications
           Product: kdenlive
      Version First 25.12.0
       Reported In:
          Platform: Microsoft Windows
                OS: Microsoft Windows
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: task
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Project Bin & Import
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Place the standalone folder in a directory with diacritical marks/accented
character (á, ê, õ, characters like that).
2. Open kdenlive (From the standalone folder) and try to open any video file
into it.
3. Get an error.

OBSERVED RESULT
An error saying that it couldn't open said video file.

EXPECTED RESULT
Open said video file without issues.

OS VERSION
Windows 11 24H2 (64 bits).

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I placed the standalone folder in C:/, tried opening a video (in kdenlive) and
the problem magically went away. Why? Because the folder was in a directory
that doesn't has diacritical marks.
And just to make sure, I created a directory in C:/ that had diacritical marks
(let's call it "ÁÊÌÕÛ"), placed the standalone folder in ÁÊÌÕÛ, tried opening a
video (again, in kdenlive) and the problem returned.
