Bug ID: 513619
Summary: Bookmarks Feature is difficult to discover
Classification: Applications
Product: dolphin
Version First 25.08.1
Reported In:
Platform: Manjaro
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
Assignee: [email protected]

Target Milestone: ---
SUMMARY
The Bookmarks menu entry is completely missing from the global application
menu. Even if you navigate to "More -> Go" there is no mention of it. Only
after enabling the Menubar, "Bookmarks" will actually show up under "Go". A
normal user might never notice this feature even exists by just using the
application.
This seems like an odd choice for what can be a very useful feature and is
probably an oversight from when the global menu got adapted.
I also tested this on a Manjaro Live Image in a VM to make sure it's not a bug
on my end.
EXPECTED RESULT
I would expect the global menu to include the Bookmarks feature as a top level
entry.
I might even suggest the default Toolbar should include the "Bookmarks" entry
by default for new installations, like how users expect it from web browsers.
