            Bug ID: 513177
Summary: Dolphin crashes kioworker on click on search
                    protocol-link in side bar
    Classification: Applications
           Product: dolphin
      Version First 25.08.2
       Reported In:
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: search
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
                CC: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
When I click on "Images" (section 'Search for', de original name "Suche nach")
the adress "search:/images" is called. When I click on the "Images" link, I get
an automatic crash handler that tells me "kioworker" has crashed.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Dolphin
2. Click on "Images" link in 'Search for' section in the side bar on the left

OBSERVED RESULT
I get a crash note and no images are displayed.

EXPECTED RESULT
I get _no_ crash result and the images are displayed

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Dolphin:
Version 25.08.3

System:
Operating System: KDE neon User Edition
KDE Plasma Version: 6.5.3
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.20.0
Qt Version: 6.10.0
Kernel Version: 6.14.0-36-generic (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
On my system I get this crash every time. I get the same result with
"search:/documents". However "search:/audio" and "search:/videos" (both the
same link-type protocol in the side panel) do work.

I tried to replicate this, in a Live USB from the latest KDEneon, but over
there a folder with the destination of "search:/images" never shows up when
added (right click in side panel > add entry). When I edit the location of an
existing folder (eg. Downloads) to "search:/images" the folder vanishes.
Even when I activate the option to show hidden entries, I do not see this
entry. First I thought that this might be KFind adding this, but even after I
added it, I was not able to replicate this on a Live USB (maybe I would have
needed to restart my system, but as it's a Live USB all changes would have been
gone).
