SUMMARY
A kwin plugin (showfps) which I have activated previously is not showing up
anymore in the list of desktop effects.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
1. Open System Settings
2. Go to Window Management
3. Go to Desktop Effects
Specifically the plugin in question is 'showfps' and 'showcompositing'.

OBSERVED RESULT
The option to enable/disable is missing.
EXPECTED RESULT
I believe this option was previously listed under the 'Appearence' tab.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I am not sure if this option was intentionally removed or not.
Still this was a problem for me, since I could not disable this plugin and had
to search for the correct config file to disable it.
