            Bug ID: 512918
Summary: Cannot add any new event or task in Merkuro Calendar
    Classification: Applications
           Product: Merkuro
      Version First 24.12.3
       Reported In:
          Platform: Debian testing
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: major
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
                CC: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
Cannot add any new event or task

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Use Debian 14 (Forky) with Plasma 6.5.3 and Frameworks 6.20.
2. Install Merkuro Calendar.
3. Right-click on a day and try to create a new event or new task.

OBSERVED RESULT
Nothing happens, meaning now input window opens and no message is shown.

EXPECTED RESULT
A input window appears to fill the form and save the new event or task that I
wanted to created for that day.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 6.5.3
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.20.0
Qt Version: 6.9.2

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This worked initially (yesterday) when I first tried it!

But after I added (saved) the event, I noticed that I made a mistake.
The mistake was not putting in in a separate birthdays calendar, as it was a
birthday celebration event.
I right-clicked on it and tried to edit it.
Every time I tried that, the whole program crashed.
Without any error being shown anywhere!
After multiple failed edit attempts I manged to at least delete it.

Now I cannot add a new event or task no matter which one of the 2 types I
choose and no matter what day on the month view I choose to right-click into.
Nothing happens, which makes the whole calendar totally unusable as an always
empty calendar is pretty much not good at all for me!
In the about window, I see this line which might have something to do with the
problem:
Qt using 6.9.2 and built against 6.7.2
