I'm not able to reproduce this on git-master. The volume widget works normally. I'd like to clarify something. In your steps to reproduce, you mention adding the Application Menu Bar. When I add the system tray to the Application Menu Bar panel, it's always on the left. How did you get yours positioned on the right? I want to make sure I'm using the same setup.
