SUMMARY
Yesterday, I reported a bug concerning KMAIL
(https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=512143).
As I mentioned in my last message about this bug, I have more or less managed
to fix KMAIL.
I decided to add my GMAIL account in IMAP to organise myself differently (I
have been using KMAIL in POP3 for 13 years).
Surprise, surprise, the account creation wizard won't let me save the password.
Once the account has been created, it doesn't appear in the folders panel.
It seems to me that all these bugs are related either to KMAIL not doing what
it's supposed to do, or to AKONADI and the database, regardless of the engine
(MYSQL or SQLITE).
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. attempt to create an IMAP account
2. follow the indication of the assistant to the end
OBSERVED RESULT
1. it failed to create folder
2. in kmail account tab, the imap account is "failed"
EXPECTED RESULT
to normally create an IMAP
