The icons seem to be centered properly even if I restart with this theme, so I can't get to the failure state. (Looking at the code, I also don't obviously see how it could break this way, but that may just be me missing it). You say that this issue has been around for over half a year. We did change the code for this sidebar here in 6.4 (to make it so that it can be used with the keyboard using arrow keys or Tab, before it was mouse-only) but that was 4 months ago. If it started then, this change might be related, but if not it may be caused by something else. Do you happen to know if other themes cause the same issue for you?
