I've created a new user with adduser and could reproduce the bug after installing all updates from the updates tab in discover. I've attached the list of updates. Worth noting perhaps that I have a popup when I open the updates tab that reads: "E: The repository 'https://ppa.launchpadcontent.net/jfi/ppa/ubuntu noble Release' does not have a Release file. W: Updating from such a repository can't be done securely, and is therefore disabled by default. W: See apt-secure(8) manpage for repository creation and user configuration details."
