            Bug ID: 510765
Summary: Add option to hide global appmenu when active window
is not maximized (i.e. make it work with focus follows
                    the mouse

           Product: plasmashell
      Version First 6.4.5
       Reported In:

                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Global Menu widget

  Target Milestone: 1.0

I use Focus follows the mose and with that setting, global menu is only usable
for maximized apps (or possibly for apps whose upper edge is directly next to
the panel). For that reason, for unmaximized windows, I use menu in the
individual windows. So I would love it if I could configure appmenu to hide
when the active window is not maximized, because right now, it is just visual
clutter for unmaximized windows.
