SUMMARY:
When importing subtitle files (e.g., .srt) in Kdenlive 25.08.1 installed via
the system package manager (non-Flatpak), the subtitles do not appear in the
monitor preview and are also missing in the exported video. The same project
works correctly when using the Flatpak version of Kdenlive.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
Open Kdenlive 25.08.1 installed via the system package manager (non-Flatpak).
Import any .srt subtitle file.
Observe the monitor preview — subtitles are not visible.
Export the video — subtitles are missing in the final output.
OBSERVED RESULT:
Subtitles are not displayed in the monitor preview or in the exported video
when using the non-Flatpak build.
EXPECTED RESULT:
Subtitles should display correctly in both the monitor and exported video, as
they do in the Flatpak version.
