Another note, I have not pinned Firefox and Waterfox to the task bar and I've had no issues with that. It's only when I pin the Firefox and Waterfox icons to the taskbar that I get the issue of both shortcut icons becoming Firefox or Waterfox. I would take a day or two for the issue to crop up.
