SUMMARY
First of all: thank you guys for this app, which generally does the job! It has
a beautiful, simple interface, powerful podcast search, and integrates well
into the Plasma environment.
However, there are a number of bugs, including:
- the Qt-multimedia audio engine stops after a while (especially when streaming
audio)
- integration with the multimedia applet in the thumbnail box is difficult (the
control slider is buggy)
- and others that have already been reported...
I was able to find a balance by choosing VLC and podcast downloading for
continuous listening and interaction with the Plasma desktop without any
issues.
Here, I'm reporting a functional absence of Kasts:
the app lacks an option to automatically launch at system startup, minimized to
the thumbnail box.
I added it to the "Autostart" section of Settings to launch at system boot. But
you have to systematically minimize the window manually, which is annoying.
If there's an option (--hide) to customize kasts.desktop, I'm all ears!
Sincerely,
