In Ellie's case, it clogs the WI-FI and breaks things. For somebody with super-fast gigabit internet & a top of the range PC, moving from parallel to sequential downloads arguably won't reduce the experience of the user by a noticeable amount anyway. Maybe parallel downloads in Discover are more trouble than they're worth?
