Please try either the prerelease appimage
(https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0BzeiVr-byqt5Y0tIRWVWelRJenM) or wait
till the release which will happen later today or tomorrow
(http://download.kde.org/stable/digikam/). Digikam dropped QTMultimedia and
instead uses QtAV for video support. This will probably fix your problem.
