I also seem to have this problem on Gwenview 25.08.0, though the character is a
bit different.
When opening a picture in my downloads folder (225GB of mixed files, 4,135
files in total), Gwenview initially consumes a peak of 11GB of memory and takes
~7 seconds to become loaded fully. I can also see the Gwenview thread consuming
the entirety of the CPU core it's running on while it loads.
