STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. search for snap version of Thunderbird and click on it
2. observe the current version in the upper right corner
3. click on "Channel..." button below the screenshots
4. choose another channel with a different version
OBSERVED RESULT
the version was not updated in the upper right corner. Please watch the
attached screen recording.
EXPECTED RESULT
the version is updated in the upper right corner
