            Bug ID: 509223
Summary: Changing the date of a photo via Adjust Time & Date
works correctly, but if I later apply a tag to the
same photo, digiKam resets the photo’s date to the
                    current date/time.
    Classification: Applications
           Product: digikam
      Version First 8.7.0
       Reported In:
          Platform: macOS (DMG)
                OS: Other
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Metadata-Date
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

I found a reproducible bug in digiKam:
        1. Open a photo in digiKam.
        2. Use Item → Adjust Time & Date to change its date/time. The new
date is saved and displayed correctly.
        3. Afterwards, assign a tag to the same photo.
        4. Immediately after applying the tag, the photo’s date is
overwritten and set to the current system date/time instead of keeping the
value I previously set.

This issue breaks chronological organization, since the photo jumps in the
timeline or album sorting as if it were taken today.
