SUMMARY
System hangs on openSUSE Tumbleweed logo after Plasma shutdown instead of
powering off

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Boot into openSUSE Tumbleweed with KDE Plasma.
2. Login
3. Select Shutdown from the application launcher, power menu, or run systemctl
poweroff from Konsole.

OBSERVED RESULT
Plasma session exits, screen shows Tumbleweed logo, but system never powers off
(requires manual reset). This happens consistently 

EXPECTED RESULT
System cleanly shuts down and powers off
