            Bug ID: 508175
           Summary: CTRL+C doesn't properly copy
    Classification: Applications
           Product: kolourpaint
      Version First 25.04.3
       Reported In:
          Platform: Arch Linux
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: grave
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY

Copying doesn't truly copy it, it saves it temporarily in my clipboard before
erasing it as soon as the application is exited, reverting back to giving me
whatever I had copied before.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Screenshot my screen and have it saved in my clipboard
2. Open Kolourpaint
3. Paste image
4. Rectangle Select whatever part of the image I want saved
5. CTRL+C
6. Close Kolourpaint
7. Try pasting the image somewhere else, and watch it paste the screenshot
instead

If I were to skip step 6, it would work, but I'd rather not swap between
wherever I'm pasting the cropped screenshot and kolourpaint 4 times back to
back.

OBSERVED RESULT
The pasted image isn't the one I copied from the program

EXPECTED RESULT
The pasted image being whatever I CTRL+C in the program

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Arch Linux

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I understand right clicking does save it properly, but I've gotten too used to
CTRL+C and cropping screenshots this way that I have no other alternative and
my muscle memory is too strong. Also, I've tried checking through my PC's
settings and the Kolourpaint settings and neither had anything relating to
copying.
