            Bug ID: 507895
Summary: Network manager list can take up to a minute or more
to update and display new networks
    Classification: Plasma
           Product: plasmashell
      Version First 6.3.6
       Reported In:
          Platform: Manjaro
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Networks widget
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: 1.0

SUMMARY
Usually, when I turn on a hotspot, it takes more than 30 seconds (sometimes
even more than a minute or two) for the new network to appear in the list of
networks in the network manager (opened from the tray icon). The same happens
when I turn it off; the network is not promptly removed from the list.
The workaround is to disable and then re-enable Wi-Fi; this way, the network
list updates instantly.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open the networks list from the system tray icon
2. Turn on a hotspot
3. You should experience a delay of more than 30 seconds. If you do not, repeat
the process until you do

OBSERVED RESULT
Long delay in updating the list of available networks, up to minutes

EXPECTED RESULT
Short delay, ideally less than 10 seconds

PROPOSED SOLUTION
I don't know if this problem is specific to my system. Assuming it isn't, I
would suggest either increasing the refresh rate (if that is the actual issue)
or adding a refresh button for networks in the upper-right corner.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: Manjaro Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.6
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.16.0
Qt Version: 6.9.1
Graphics Platform: Wayland
