I have more SDRAM available than you do (per `kinfo`):

In practice, this means:

With `kwrite $HOME/Downloads/official-cpe-dictionary_v2.3.xml` hung, `free -g`
reports:

Had I run out of RAM, `oom-killer` would have automatically invoked (which I
would see in `dmesg`).
