failed file renaming attempt

Target Milestone: ---
Dolphin. Every time I try to rename a file in Dolphin and accidentally delete
the filename so that only the file extension remains (e.g., ".mp4" [dot.mp4]),
the entire system crashes and must be powered off manually.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
Select any file.
Press F2 or choose "Rename" to start renaming the file.
Delete the entire filename so that only the extension remains (e.g.,
".mp4").
After this, the system freezes or crashes, requiring a hard shutdown.
Additional Information:
The problem occurs consistently when only the file extension is left during
renaming.
This happens with Ubuntu 24.04 LTS on a Tuxedo Stellaris 6 16"
