Bug ID: 507474 Summary: Bluetooth switch in settings Classification: Applications Product: kdeconnect Version First 24.12.3 Reported In: Platform: Kubuntu OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: common Assignee: albertv...@gmail.com Reporter: ke...@g1bwt.me.uk CC: andrew.g.r.hol...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY I documented here (https://discuss.kde.org/t/kdeconnect-seems-to-cause-panel-freeze-on-logon/36566) how the Plasma panel on the desktop PC would freeze for about 30 seconds when logging in, and not being able to click on anything. After the freeze everything would spring into life with the cached clicked actions appearing in quick succession. In the reference above someone mentioned that it looked like kdeconnect was looking for Bluetooth devices. I have now plugged in an ancient Bluetooth adapter and paired my iPhone successfully. The freeze seems to have disappeared when I logged on. Is it possible to have a switch in the config to manually stop kdeconnect from looking for Bluetooth devices, speeding up the process?
