Bug ID: 507276 Summary: File dialog windows doesn't auto refresh Classification: Applications Product: kdenlive Version First unspecified Reported In: Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: User Interface & Miscellaneous Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org Reporter: far...@inbox.lv Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY I process lots of files in a folder, output them in another and delete processed originals. But if I do it without closing the application, when I try to add the new clip, file selection dialog box doesn't automatically refresh the folder content and shows the deleted files too unless manually press the F5 button to refresh. Even if I change the folder and turn back the original folders it doesn't refresh automatically unless manually refreshed. Moreover, after the first launch of the app, even without opening the add file dialog before, if some files deleted after the launching of the application, file dialog still shows the deleted files when opened first time. It seems like application caches folder contents and doesn't update unless manually refreshed. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open Kdenlive 2. Delete files in the (default) folder where previously used folder. 3. Open add clip dialog. OBSERVED RESULT Deleted files are still shown there until refreshed manually EXPECTED RESULT Open file dialog windows should automatically refresh and shouldn't show previously deleted files. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Fedora 42 Kernel 6.15.6-200 KDE Plasma Version: 6.4.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.16.0 Qt Version: 6.9.1 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Kdenlive flatpak version.
