Bug ID: 507168 Summary: When applying a new theme, systemsettings should notify the user of updating initramfs instead of just progress bar Classification: Applications Product: systemsettings Version First 6.4.3 Reported In: Platform: Arch Linux OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: kcm_plymouth Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: rblade...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- When you apply a new plymouth theme in the "Boot splash" section, you get a long 'process-running' bar at the bottom. Since applying a new plymouth theme means you should regenerate the initramfs, systemsettings or kcm_plymouth should notify the user with a message saying it's regenerating the initramfs, instead of just the partially intuitive bar. The average user might close the application if the initramfs generation takes too long and they're not aware of the undergoing needed process, since it's just a theme change. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
