Taskbar bug

SUMMARY
After opening System Settings or certain other applications, their icons appear
in the taskbar as expected. However, when I close them, a blank space remains
in the taskbar (see attachment). The space only disappears after hovering over
it with the mouse or opening the app launcher. This issue occurs both with and
without a custom theme. I am using Fedora with Wayland.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open system settings
2. Close system settings
3. Observe whether a blank space appears on the taskbar before hovering over it

OBSERVED RESULT
Blank space persists in the taskbar until the mouse hovers over it or the app
launcher is opened.

EXPECTED RESULT
The blank space should disappear immediately after the application is closed.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Fedora, Wayland
KDE Plasma Version: 6.4.2
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.16.0
Qt Version: 6.9.1
