Install Marble application (digiKam use a dedicated Qt6 port since 2 years now) Try to reproduce the problem playing with map using the same context (map, zoom level, etc). The last one is important as it highligh a possible problem to render cloud using possible data from the web. In digiKam you can disable the overlay to only show the map substance...
