            Bug ID: 506777
Summary: Monitor reporting incorrect resolution can cause
                    impossible configurations
    Classification: Plasma
           Product: plasmashell
      Version First 6.4.1
       Reported In:
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
Component: Display Configuration widget and OSD
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: 1.0

SUMMARY
Apologies if this report is under the wrong project.

(Short version) It's possible for a multi-monitor configuration to enter a
state where a monitor does not border the other monitors, trapping the arrow in
or outside of it.

(Long version) Once in a while, and only when using this particular machine, my
left monitor seems to report a lower maximum resolution than it actually
supports, seemingly most often when the machine is coming back from sleep. This
causes it to 'shrink' in my display configuration, but remain at the same
origin point, forming gaps where it previously bordered the other screens. This
traps the arrow either inside or outside of it. As this is incorrect behavior
per the configuration panel, I believe it constitutes a bug if it is still able
to reach this state by other (reasonable) means.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Use an HP Omen z4d33aa with an anker "powerexpand usb-c to displayport
adapter" in a multi-monitor configuration
2. Wake the machine to the login screen
(Does not reproduce consistently)

OBSERVED RESULT
The monitor no longer borders monitors which were previously configured to the
right of and underneath it.

EXPECTED RESULT
There should not be gaps in the monitor configuration
