Configuration of the Gnome desktop environment is adequately flexible to meet my needs and, as a longtime Chromebook user, I was already somewhat familiar with a somewhat similar DE. Gnome elegantly resolves all of the challenges that the Plasma DE presented. Please close the bug report.
