It looks quite clear as a crash in the epson2 backend (driver). Can you create
a bug report at: https://gitlab.com/sane-project/backends/issues/new (you need
to log in to gitlab).
I have seen situations where backends have crashed because we try to restore
options in an unfortunate order that the backend has not prepared for. Removing
the Skanlite configuration might (temporarily?) resolve the issue. With the
newest Qt6 version, the file is ~/.local/state/skanlitestaterc, but you have an
old Qt5 version that could have a different patch. Search for a file with
skanlite i the name under ~/.config and ~/.local
