Bug ID: 505358 Summary: The "Overview" page should embed the processes view and not the applications view on systems where the latter is not supported Classification: Applications Product: plasma-systemmonitor Version First 6.3.5 Reported In: Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: ksysguard-b...@kde.org Reporter: e...@horse64.org CC: ahiems...@heimr.nl, plasma-b...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY On systems where the applications view isn't supported due to I imagine a lack of systemd, the "Overview" page shows a giant block that simply says that the applications view isn't supported. This use of space doesn't seem useful. I suggest that it should embed the processes view in that section instead, since that one seems to usually work, and then the space would be filled with working and useful information. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open KDE System Monitor on a system without systemd 2. Go to "Overview" tab OBSERVED RESULT A big part of the window simply tells you the applications view isn't supported. EXPECTED RESULT The part that tells you the applications view isn't supported should show the process view instead.
