OpenGL in Gentoo is fully working, both for system applications and for Kdenlive AppImages prior to 25.04. As I said in #c2 if I extract it and force it to load the bundled libraries with LD_LIBRARY_PATH it works, OpenGL and everything, so I suspect something isn't properly rpathed in this round of AppImages.
