The certificate is an upstream issue, that's correct. I'm sorry that I didn't
make it clear that this ticket is not about the certificate issue.

KDE's System Settings seems to not be able to handle a misbehaving plugin. A
broken certificate in a plugin for downloading wallpapers shouldn't prevent the
user from changing the wallpaper. Even if "Picture of the Day" is broken, the
button "Wallpaper" in System Settings (used to be called "Change Wallpaper", as
can be seen from the screen recordings from 2021) shouldn't break because an
underlying plugin is broken. In source code terms, a blanket,
catching-every-exception-from-plugins, try-catch block is missing somewhere.
