I dont know if i was using GPG, i assume i was. 

I tried adding no-allow-external-cache :-
❱cat .gnupg/gpg-agent.conf
default-cache-ttl 900
max-cache-ttl 999999
no-allow-external-cache

i logged out and back in but i still can load the wallet manager and it still
hangs when using dolphin sftp bookmarks.

However, someone has just suggested adding the following to .config/kwalletrc
(mine does not have KSecretD at all) and although the walletmanager still shows
a blank window, it does not hang any more, neither does my access of the sftp
on dolphin. I dont know what all this means.

As for using a different Secret Service provider, i have never to my knowledge
changed the default kde wallet.
