Bug ID: 504536 Summary: Icons-only task manager sometimes does not shrink in width when a temporary icon is removed Classification: Plasma Product: plasmashell Version First 6.3.90 Reported In: Platform: Fedora RPMs OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Task Manager and Icons-Only Task Manager widgets Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: altm...@rizecookey.net CC: qydwhotm...@gmail.com Target Milestone: 1.0 Created attachment 181530 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=181530&action=edit Video demonstrating the issue SUMMARY When closing an application results in an icon disappearing from a floating and centered Icons-only task manager, the panel sometimes does not properly update its size and appearance until hovering over it with the mouse cursor. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Create an icons-only task manager panel; make it floating and centered and variable-width. 2. Open an application that creates a new icon on the task manager. 3. Close the application. OBSERVED RESULT The icon is gone, but the task manager keeps its previous width and the remaining icons appear to be slightly squished, leaving empty space where the icon was previously displayed. EXPECTED RESULT The task manager changes its size accordingly and does not leave empty space behind.
