Bug ID: 504379 Summary: Clip Properties > Properties: unify Scanning & Field order settings. Classification: Applications Product: kdenlive Version First unspecified Reported In: Platform: Other OS: Other Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: User Interface & Miscellaneous Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org Reporter: gabcor...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 181410 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=181410&action=edit Comparison with other popular programs in the field. I think it would be a good idea to unify the "Scanning" and "Field order" options into a single one. The drop-down menu of this unified setting (which could still be called "Scanning") would have the following options: Progressive / Top field first / Bottom field first. This would: - Visually simplify the Properties panel. - Avoid potential incoherence (like activating "Progressive" for scanning and one of the "Field order" states). - Allow user to achieve the same with less clicks (just 2 vs. current 4). - Use a more standardized way of handling the scanning settings, in line with what other editing programs do. (Attached image, showing how this is handled in other video editing programs) Thanks for listening! -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
