SUMMARY

Use of similarity on very similar photos (landscape and portrait) did not work.
(Also feedback email bounced.)

Hello,
Thank you for offering digiKam, but it's confusing whether there's a way to
generate at least basic AI tags.

As an alternative strategy, I tried "find similar" as a way of finding
something instead of by tags, but was surprised that these two photos
(attached) evidently did not find one another even though they're side by side
in the same directory. Even when I set the "similarity range" to 40%
(screenshot pasted of second direction also failing).

I don't see a search button to be sure I'm executing the search, however, as I
changed the "range" it would refresh, suggesting that it did something.

Please can you help let me know if I'm doing this correctly and how best to
accomplish at least basic similarity search as a substitute for AI tagging to
allow searches?

Thanks!

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Select directory with the two attached photos
2. Search by similarity (see screenshot attached)
3.
Hey! You aren't allowing more than one attachment.
