Bug ID: 504055 Summary: Location bar has 'double borders' when positioned outside of toolbar Classification: Applications Product: dolphin Version: 25.04.1 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: minor Priority: NOR Component: bars: location Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: c...@horwell.me CC: kfm-de...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 181172 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=181172&action=edit Location bar within toolbar, outside toolbar and desired frame SUMMARY By default, the URL navigation bar is positioned within the toolbar and this style is OK. However, when removed from the toolbar, the new design introduced in KIO >=6.12.0 (KUrlNavigator) also draws a frame/border. It would look nicer to eliminate the 'double border' when positioned under the toolbar. A very minor, visual bug. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open Dolphin. 2. Right click the toolbar → Configure Toolbars → Remove "Location Bar" 3. Observe the frame(s) of the location bar. OBSERVED RESULT The location bar appears to have two lines, likely because KUrlNavigator widget adds its own border. See attachment. EXPECTED RESULT A more polished, single frame line when the location bar is outside the toolbar. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.14.0 Qt Version: 6.9.0 Dolphin 25.04.1 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION - This could be a bug with frameworks-kio / URL navigator, but not sure. - Affected both light and dark themes. - The older KUrlNavigator design (KIO 6.11.0) did not have its own borders. It's background colour was similar to the toolbar, so the lack of a bottom border was OK in the past. The new design's background colour is similar to the folder view background, so a bottom border would be necessary. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
