            Bug ID: 503691
Summary: "Compact" Task Switcher dims and puts brackets round
minimised windows, unlike all the other Task Switchers
    Classification: Plasma
           Product: kwin
           Version: 6.3.4
          Platform: openSUSE
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: tabbox
          Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org
          Reporter: john....@pelago.org.uk
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
I use the "Compact" Task Switcher, as I find the others too overwhelming. I
find it works well for me, except that it seems to be the only Task Switcher
that shows a visual difference between minimised and non-minimised windows.
Specifically, it dims their text and puts brackets around their text. I find
this is not aesthetically pleasing, and also inconsistent with the other
switchers - if they don't display minimised windows differently, why does
Compact?

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open System Settings
2. Navigate to Window Management > Task Switcher
3. Pick Compact in the drop-down
4. Click Apply
5. Make sure some more apps/windows are open, and minimise some of them
6. Hold down Alt and press Tab (keeping Alt held down)
7. Look at the Task Switcher

OBSERVED RESULT
Minimised windows are shown with dimmer text and with brackets around the
window title.

EXPECTED RESULT
All windows appear with the same brightness text and no brackets.
