It took a few days with the latest Dolphin version, but I am still seeing this issue. All my user folders are on a 4TB btrfs volume that spans two 2TB NVMe drives with redundant metadata, so definitely not a removable drive. The behavior makes me wonder why the Downloads folder is the only folder that's affected by this. And why does Dolphin decide it belongs at the end of the list?
