There's a user in the Solus forums who was asking about how to manually control
gamma in Plasma. They used to use redshift, but it doesn't work with Wayland
and it's not seen an update in years. For them, this is an accessibility
concern.
Their use case is that they have had cataract surgery and their eyes are
sensitive to screen brightness. Being able to control gamma made for better
contrast which made it easier to read text.
